Ai Weiwei: Sunflower Seeds at Tate Modern Turbine Hall, London
Ai Weiwei is one of the most popular Chinese artists of our time. For Tate Modern’s The Unilever Series he has been commissioned to produce a new work. The sculptural installation titled Sunflower Seeds looks rather minimalistic at first sight. What seems to be an ocean of sunflower seed husks, is in reality a flat landscape of over 100 million individually handmade porcelain replicas of the seed.

Sagmeister / Don't Take Creativity For Granted
Renowned designer Stefan Sagmeister talks about the process behind his typography-driven films, which sprung from the insights in his book Things I've Learned in My Life So Far. Experiences include being misconstrued as a suicide "jumper" while shooting at the Empire State Building, creating custom software for an interactive spider web art installation, and imagining innovative uses for animals in his "happiness" documentary.

/Richard Wright
Wright creates subtle and exquisite wall paintings that respond directly to the architecture in which they are created.
/ Miroslaw Balka
Miroslaw Balka is the tenth artist to be invited to transform the Turbine Hall at Tate Modern. Born in Warsaw, Poland, his work explores themes of history and common experience, drawing on his Catholic upbringing and the fractured history of Poland.

"New York Is Killing Me" [Directed by Chris Cunningham]
The director debuted his first new video in four years-- for Gil Scott-Heron's "New York Is Killing Me"-- at the Museum of Modern Art last night. Cunningham also remixed the audio into something considerably more ominous, which perfectly synchronizes with the shadowy, New York-at-night clip. Even more good news: MoMA's site saysCunningham is "presently working on his first audiovisual album."
